New York Knicks suspend ticket sales after pricing error

The New York Knicks have suspended individual ticket sales for the 2026-27 season following a pricing error. The mistake caused ticket prices to spike significantly, with some seats for the October 20 season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers listed for over $1,000, and average prices reportedly reaching approximately $2,500.

Madison Square Garden Sports (MSG) issued a statement confirming the pause to correct the error. The organization plans to reset prices to last year’s rates plus an average increase of 12%. MSG stated, “Our intention was never to overcharge our loyal fans, and we thank everyone for their support to the Knicks and their patience while we solve this.”

Fans who have already purchased individual tickets at the inflated rates will receive a refund for the difference. The error did not affect season-ticket holders or those who participated in the earlier “Fan First” priority sales. Corrected ticket sales are expected to resume shortly.
