New York Knicks title sparks surge in Prime Video NBA viewership globally

The New York Knicks captured their first NBA championship in 53 years, concluding Amazon's inaugural season of "NBA on Prime." Prime Video reported significant international audience growth, with overall reach outside the United States increasing by 28 % and availability in over 200 countries for more than 200 million Prime members. Europe saw the strongest gains, posting a 129 % rise in total season viewership and a 130 % jump during the finals, while France’s audience jumped 265 % thanks to star Victor Wembanyama’s appearance with the San Antonio Spurs. Latin America (Brazil and Mexico) recorded an 80 % increase, and the Asia‑Pacific region grew by 29 %. The service localized coverage in 14 languages and employed a hybrid production model with studios in Los Angeles and on‑site teams in major markets such as London, Paris, Milan, Mexico City, São Paulo and Tokyo.
