New York Knicks win 2026 NBA championship, honored at White House and city parade

The New York Knicks captured their first NBA title since 1973, ending a 53‑year drought with a 4‑1 series win over the San Antonio Spurs. Team captain Jalen Brunson scored 45 points in the decisive game and was named Finals MVP, while the squad posted a 13‑game playoff winning streak.

In Manhattan, more than one million fans jammed the downtown streets for a celebratory parade.
