New York Liberty clinches second Commissioner’s Cup, first team to win twice

The New York Liberty defeated the Las Vegas Aces 93‑85 to capture the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, becoming the first franchise to win the in‑season tournament twice. Sabrina Ionescu contributed 26 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Breanna Stewart added 25 points, 11 rebounds and was named Cup MVP.

During the same week, the Golden State Valkyries extended their winning streak to four games with a 88‑83 victory over the Atlanta Dream, completing a season sweep. Dallas Wings secured a close 86‑83 road win over Connecticut, highlighted by a 25‑point performance from rookie guard Paige Bueckers.
