New York metro area ranks among top US regions for adult learning

A study by Maxwell Social has ranked the New York, Newark, and Jersey City metro area as the 8th best location in the United States for adult learning and intellectual growth. The ranking evaluated the nation’s 50 largest metropolitan areas based on access to museums, libraries, bookstores, universities, adult education, and online interest in intellectual topics.

Libraries were identified as the strongest category for the New York metro area, earning 12.8 out of 17.6 possible points. The region's score reflects the high density of resources including the New York Public Library, various community libraries, and numerous university and neighborhood branches.
