New York Mets promote Christopher Morel and several minor leaguers

The New York Mets have implemented several roster changes across their minor league affiliates. Christopher Morel is set to be selected from Triple-A Syracuse to join the major league roster ahead of a game against the Padres. Morel has performed strongly in Syracuse, posting a .321/.382/.716 slash line with 12 home runs.

In addition to Morel’s promotion, the organization has issued five other minor league advancements. Émilien Pitre has been promoted to Triple-A Syracuse, while Billy Amick is also moving up to the Triple-A level following a productive stint with the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Other recent moves include Elian Peña advancing to the Brooklyn Cyclones, making him the youngest player in High-A, and infielder Jamari Baylor being promoted to Double-A. These moves come as the Mets evaluate talent within their farm system following recent trade deadline acquisitions.
