New York Mets and Atlanta Braves split three-game series
The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves split their recent three-game series at Truist Park. In the opening game on Monday, the Mets secured an 8-5 victory, highlighted by Brett Baty’s first career grand slam in the first inning. Francisco Lindor contributed a home run and went 3-for-5, while Kodai Senga earned his first career save.
The Braves responded on Tuesday with a 4-0 shutout victory. Veteran left-hander Martín Pérez pitched six scoreless innings, extending his scoreless streak to 18 innings. Ozzie Albies provided the decisive offense with a solo home run in the fifth inning, and Matt Olson added a two-run homer in the eighth.
