New York mother arrested in Georgia after missing children found

Two young children from New York, Amara and Lincoln Koschuk, have been found safe in Georgia following a search that began in May. U.S. Marshals located the children and their mother, 42-year-old Nicole A. Koschuk, living in a shed in Trenton, Georgia.

Nicole Koschuk was arrested on an active warrant for first-degree custodial interference. Authorities stated that both children were in good health at the time of their discovery. They have been placed under the care of Georgia child protective services while arrangements are made to return them to their legal custodian.

The investigation remains ongoing, as New York State Police indicated they are looking into whether anyone assisted Koschuk in the disappearance.
