New York Rangers acquire winger Pavel Dorofeyev from Vegas Golden Knights

The New York Rangers have completed a trade for Vegas Golden Knights winger Pavel Dorofeyev. In exchange, New York sent its first‑round pick (No. 26 via Dallas) for this season, a 2026 third‑round pick (No. 92) and a top‑10 protected 2028 first‑round pick. Dorofeyev, 25, posted 37 goals and 27 assists in the 2025‑26 regular season and added 12 goals and four assists in 22 playoff games.

Following the acquisition, the Rangers are being linked to additional potential targets. Analysts suggest they could pursue forward Kirill Marchenko of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars winger Jason Robertson, or Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Alexander Nikishin, all of whom are considered possible next moves as New York continues to retool its roster.
