A recent study of fan behavior across the four major North American sports leagues gave the New York Rangers a Rage‑Bait Index score of 81.7 out of 100, the highest of any team. More than half of the surveyed Rangers supporters (57.1%) reported deliberately posting online to upset rival fans, with common tactics including bragging after a win, posting mocking memes and celebrating opponents' losses in person.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are reshaping their roster for the upcoming season. The club has added forward Pavel Dorofeyev, who posted 37 goals last year, and bolstered the blueline with Sean Durzi and Marcus Pettersson. Management is also considering a long‑term contract for 21‑year‑old forward Gabe Perreault, who recorded 19 points (nine goals, ten assists) in 23 games late last season and earned his first career hat‑trick.
