New York Rangers players compete for roster spots in training camp

New York Rangers players Tye Kartye and Matt Rempe are fighting for roster spots during the team's training camp in Greenburgh.

Kartye, a 25-year-old winger who joined the team via waivers from Seattle, has shown strong performance in recent intrasquad scrimmages, recording three goals in three sessions. Currently slotted as a fourth-line left winger, Kartye expressed readiness to fulfill any role requested by the coaching staff.

Meanwhile, 6-foot-9 forward Matt Rempe is working to secure a position on the fourth line following a season limited by a thumb injury. Rempe noted a sense of desperation to remain with the team, aiming to regain the physical presence he displayed prior to his injury and recent competition for roster spots from players like Jaroslav Chmelar.
