New York rescue organization seeks home for sick cat found on Amazon package

An elderly and ailing tabby cat, named Maribel, is seeking a permanent home after being discovered by a resident in New York. The cat was found curled up on an Amazon package, initially appearing to be merely sleeping before its lethargic state raised concerns.

Upon being rescued by the association PuppyKittyNYCity (PKNYC), medical examinations revealed that Maribel is suffering from heart disease, asthma, and an infection. While the cat is showing signs of improvement following immediate hospitalization and treatment, PKNYC noted that the noisy shelter environment is difficult for the animal. The organization is searching for a quiet home to facilitate a faster recovery.
