New York resident wins $10 million lottery prize

Daniel Russel of Rensselaer, New York, has claimed a $10 million top prize from the New York Lottery’s ‘300X The Money’ scratch-off game. The winning $30 ticket was purchased at a Cumberland Farms gas station on North Greenbush Road.

Rather than an annuity, Russel opted for a one-time lump-sum payment, receiving $4,470,118 after required withholdings. This marks the first top prize claimed for this specific game, though three $10 million prizes and twelve $150,000 second-tier prizes remain available.

This win follows other recent major payouts in the region, including Penny Smith of Middletown, who claimed a $1 million prize from the ‘50Xtra’ game, and Enrique Cabrera of Jackson Heights, who won $1,000,000 from the ‘$1,000,000 Bonus Cashword’ game.
