New York State features four of America's most scenic roads

New York State features four routes identified as some of the most scenic roads in the United States.

The Palisades Scenic Byway, spanning New York and New Jersey, is noted for its 19 miles of views featuring 500-foot-tall Palisades Cliffs. The Palisades Interstate Parkway, a designated State Scenic Byway, offers views along the Hudson River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Other highlighted routes include the 86-mile Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway, which passes through state parks, villages, and a wildlife refuge, and the Lincoln Highway, a coast-to-coast route that begins in New York City's Times Square.
