New York Stock Exchange opens regional headquarters in Dallas
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has officially opened its regional headquarters, NYSE Texas, at the Old Parkland campus in Dallas. The move establishes a dedicated hub to support Texas-based issuers and regional market growth. The new location represents over 120 listed securities with a combined market capitalization of $2 trillion.
Lynn Martin, president of NYSE Group, stated that the establishment of NYSE Texas reflects a commitment to the businesses and leaders driving the Texas economy. The opening included an inaugural bell-ringing ceremony involving Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
The expansion comes as Dallas grows as a financial center, often referred to as ‘Y’all Street,’ due to a high concentration of financial services workers and a business-friendly environment. The NYSE faces competition in the region from Nasdaq and the newly launched Texas Stock Exchange.
