New York Summer EBT Gives $120 to Eligible Children

New York’s Summer EBT program is issuing a one‑time payment of $120 per qualifying child to help families buy food while school is out. Children ages 6 to 16 automatically qualify if the household receives SNAP, Temporary Assistance, Medicaid, or is directly certified for free or reduced‑price school meals.

Families that meet the income limit of $59,478 for a household of four and do not already qualify can apply, provided the child attends a school participating in the National School Lunch Program. Benefits are being mailed to households starting June 16, 2026 and will be loaded onto an EBT card for use throughout the summer.
