New York Times Strands Puzzle Answers Released

On July 14, 2026 the New York Times published its daily Strands puzzle with the theme “MAKE YOURSELF COMFORTABLE.” The spangram was “HAVE A SEAT,” and the seven theme words were RECLINER, OTTOMAN, THRONE, CHAIR, ROCKER and BEANBAG.

The previous day’s puzzle, dated July 13, 2026, carried the theme “Just what I needed.” Its spangram read “HITSTHESPOT,” and the four theme words were PLEASANT, DELIGHTFUL, ENJOYABLE and SATISFYING.

Strands is a word‑search‑crossword style game offered by the New York Times. Players locate a spangram that spans the board and then find all theme‑related words, using each letter exactly once. The game has no time limit and does not penalise incorrect guesses.
