New York Yankees face calls for organizational change after postseason exit
Following the New York Yankees' elimination from the American League Division Series by the Tampa Bay Rays, former player Alex Rodríguez and team captain Aaron Judge have called for organizational changes.
Rodríguez argued that the franchise requires a shift in philosophy regarding its sports management. He suggested that General Manager Brian Cashman needs to surround himself with personnel capable of comprehensively evaluating both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Rodríguez also criticized the lack of lineup stability during critical postseason games.
Captain Aaron Judge expressed a need for the front office to be more aggressive in addressing roster deficiencies. He stated that the organization should ‘go all-in’ to acquire necessary players or personnel to build a championship-caliber team. Despite the postseason exit, Judge offered his support to manager Aaron Boone, defending his leadership throughout the season.
