New York Yankees face leadership criticism and managerial speculation after postseason exit

Following the New York Yankees' postseason exit after a three-game sweep by the Tampa Bay Rays, former pitcher CC Sabathia has criticized the team's clubhouse culture. Speaking on the podcast ‘All The Smoke’, Sabathia argued that the organization lacks the high standards and veteran leadership that once defined the franchise. He noted that since the departure of key figures, there is no longer a group of veterans to maintain the necessary competitive standards.

Simultaneously, speculation regarding the future of Yankees manager Aaron Boone has intensified. Following the disappointing series loss, reports from the New York Post suggest that former Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora could be a potential candidate to replace Boone if he is dismissed. Cora, who led the Red Sox to a World Series title in 2018, remains highly regarded in the baseball community despite his dismissal from Boston earlier this year.
