New York Yankees and Mets face off in Subway Series

The New York Subway Series featured intense matchups between the Yankees and the Mets. In one notable game, the Mets secured a 12-2 victory at Yankee Stadium, led by Francisco Lindor, who hit both a leadoff home run and a grand slam. Mets pitcher Zac Thornton contributed to the win, overcoming a recent poor performance to help the team act as spoilers in the Yankees' pursuit of the American League East title.

During the series, which coincided with the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the Yankees and Mets honored first responders. A significant moment occurred when Yankees legend Derek Jeter shared a pregame interaction with current team captain Aaron Judge.

Individual player performances remained a focal point, with Yankees' Ben Rice discussing the invigorated energy the lineup feels when Judge is present in the dugout and on the field. Betting markets also showed high interest in player props for Judge and Rice during the series.
