New Zealand and Viet Nam renew education cooperation agreement
New Zealand and Viet Nam have renewed their bilateral Education Cooperation Arrangement to strengthen ties between tertiary education institutions. The announcement was made by New Zealand Minister for Tertiary Education Penny Simmonds and her Vietnamese counterpart, Minister of Education and Training Hoàng Minh Sơn.
The agreement is a priority commitment within the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations. During the Viet Nam-New Zealand Higher Education and Skills Forum, several new Memorandums of Understanding were signed between institutions from both countries.
The cooperation aims to enhance student and academic mobility, support innovation and research, and align education with employment needs. These efforts align with New Zealand’s Tertiary Education Strategy to boost international student numbers and increase global connectivity.
