New Zealand Breakers unveil new brand identity and begin pre-season
The New Zealand Breakers have launched a new brand identity and entered pre-season training ahead of the upcoming NBL season. The rebranding is inspired by the moana, utilizing a color palette of black sand, cloud white, and blue to represent ambition and the ocean.
Club owner Marc Mitchell stated that the organization represents more than basketball, aiming to build a future supporters can believe in. CEO Troy Georgiu described the visual overhaul as a visible expression of the club moving forward with belief.
On the court, head coach Gordon Herbert has begun assembling the squad, which includes recruits Kouat Noi, Dejan Vasiljevic, and Charles Bediako. Herbert emphasized his goal of creating a team mentality and expressed excitement regarding the growth of the league. The Breakers are scheduled to open their season against Illawarra on September 20 at Spark Arena.
