New Zealand Endeavour arrives in Manfredonia
The sailing vessel New Zealand Endeavour arrived in Manfredonia on September 15, marking the start of a cultural initiative presented officially at the Marina del Gargano. The event drew significant interest from local authorities, citizens, and community associations.
Owner Ezio Tavasani detailed the vessel's restoration process, noting that it was previously found abandoned on Elba Island before being fully restored to its original condition. Designed by Bruce Farr, the ship now serves a social mission by promoting inclusion, hosting people with disabilities to provide unique maritime experiences.
The presence of the ship at Molo Vespucci coincides with Manfredonia's recent hosting of national sailing events, including the Pizzomunno Cup and the Youth Double Sailing Championships, reinforcing the city's role in maritime sports promotion.
