New Zealand national granted bail after Sydney one-punch attack

Rangi Moore, a 26-year-old New Zealand national, has been granted bail following a one-punch assault in Coogee, Sydney. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Coogee Bay Road after an altercation between Moore and a 41-year-old man outside a venue.

CCTV footage captured the encounter, which showed the two men briefly embracing before tensions escalated. The footage shows one man being slapped and then knocked unconscious onto the footpath by a single punch. The victim sustained head injuries and was transported to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Moore appeared in a Sydney court after spending a night in custody. Magistrates granted him bail under strict conditions, including a mandatory curfew and a prohibition on the use of drugs or alcohol. He is expected to reappear in court in August.
