New Zealand roadworks to affect SH2, SH58, and Transmission Gully

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has announced several roadwork projects across the Wellington region scheduled for late October and early November.

On State Highway 2, overnight lane closures will occur between Ngauranga and Petone starting Monday, 26 October. Northbound closures are planned for four consecutive nights, with work occurring between 7:00 pm and 5:30 am or 8:00 pm and 4:30 am depending on the specific schedule. Southbound closures are also slated for 2 to 5 November. Additionally, the BP Truckstop driveway near Ngauranga will close on 28 October, and daytime landscape maintenance will affect the Haywards Interchange.

State Highway 58 will continue to experience traffic controls between Moonshine Road and Flightys Road through 30 October as part of a safety improvement project. This includes nightly stop/go traffic management between 7:00 pm and 5:30 am. Furthermore, bridge maintenance on Transmission Gully will result in a southbound lane closure between Waitangirua and the Takapu Substation on 28 October from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Separate works are also planned for State Highway 59 at Pukerua Bay.
