New Zealand's tourism and hospitality sectors are reporting mixed results. Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) has secured a place on the Effies international marketing shortlist for its campaigns.

In the maritime sector, the Maritime Museum recorded its busiest year to date, attracting 184,000 visitors. However, the hospitality industry faces significant challenges, with Centrix reporting that hospitality liquidations rose to 432 over the year ending in September.

In aviation, Air New Zealand has appointed a former New Plymouth Airport CEO to a key regional role.
