New Zealand Warriors season viewed through religious lens

Reti Ah-Voa, a regional leader for the Northern Baptist Association in New Zealand, has shared a personal reflection comparing the experience of being a season ticket holder for the One New Zealand Warriors to religious liturgy.

Ah-Voa notes that the team follows a consistent ritualistic order during games, regardless of the kickoff time. The author draws parallels between sports traditions and church practices, such as standing for the procession of players and coaching staff, and the singing of the team song. The piece reflects on the team's season, which included missing out on the semi-finals.
