Newag reports 1.16 billion PLN revenue in first half of 2026

Polish railway manufacturer Newag reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, with revenues exceeding 1.16 billion PLN and a net profit of 205.7 million PLN. In the second quarter alone, the company achieved 733.2 million PLN in revenue, representing a 54.5% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Net profit for the second quarter rose by 91.6% year-on-year.

Vice President Józef Michalik attributed the performance to the product mix, specifically noting the delivery of locomotives with higher unit margins. The company's production capacity is currently fully utilized through the end of 2029 due to a robust order backlog.

While the third quarter is expected to maintain revenue levels similar to the first half of the year, Newag anticipates a decrease in revenue for the fourth quarter. This projected decline is attributed to the contract delivery schedule rather than a reduction in orders, as many vehicle deliveries were concentrated in the first half of the year.
