Newcastle and Tottenham target AC Milan duo for January
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have made formal enquiries regarding AC Milan players Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of the January transfer window. Both Premier League clubs are looking for mid-season reinforcements, and Milan appears open to negotiating deals for the pair.
Fikayo Tomori, a defender who has made over 210 appearances for Milan, has seen his role diminish under head coach Ruben Amorim. Newcastle is reportedly seeking defensive depth to provide alternatives to aging players like Dan Burn and Fabian Schär, while Tottenham views Tomori as a potential solution to stabilize their defensive unit.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also a target as clubs look to bolster midfield options. Both players are reportedly interested in a return to the Premier League. Because their contracts are approaching expiration, Milan has an incentive to negotiate sales in January to avoid losing the players for free next summer.
