Newcastle business leaders raise $45,000 for OzHarvest

Fifteen business leaders participated in the inaugural OzHarvest CEO CookOff in Newcastle, working alongside five chefs and 15 volunteers to feed 80 guests at the Clyde St Arts Precinct in Hamilton North.

The event raised more than $45,000 for the food rescue organization, an amount estimated to provide 90,000 meals for those in need. Participants included Garry Risteski of Risteski Group, who prepared a tiramisu with chef Sharon Winsor, as well as various other local executives and celebrity chefs.
