Newcastle fans paint homes in club colours ahead of Knights Grand Final

Newcastle residents are demonstrating their support for the Newcastle Knights ahead of the NRL Grand Final against the Sydney Roosters. In New Lambton, Samuel and Teigan Jobbins, assisted by friends Mathew and Rhiannon Casserly, painted their home in the club’s signature red and blue colours.

The Jobbins family, who previously painted their fence to celebrate a semi-final appearance, decided to paint the entire front of their house to mark the club’s first Grand Final appearance in 25 years. The tradition of painting houses in club colours is a notable aspect of the Newcastle community during major rugby league deciders.
