Newcastle Knights extend Francis Manuleleua contract to 2028

The Newcastle Knights have secured the future of 22‑year‑old back‑rower Francis Manuleleua, extending his contract through the end of the 2028 NRL season. Manuleleua, a New Zealand‑born player who debuted in 2026, has already made eight first‑grade appearances and impressed with performances such as a 30‑6 win over Brisbane, where he recorded 31 tackles and ran 100 metres.

Recruitment chief Peter O’Sullivan and head coach Justin Holbrook praised his natural talent, work ethic and development, saying the extension gives him the chance to cement his place in the Knights’ squad for the coming seasons.
