Newcastle police investigate death of man found at vacant property
Police in New South Wales have launched an investigation into the death of 55-year-old Shane Ryan after his body was discovered at a vacant property on Lake Road in Elermore Vale on August 19.
Newcastle City police have established a crime scene and initiated an inquiry under Strike Force Draven. To assist with the investigation, detectives have released CCTV footage showing Mr. Ryan at a hotel in Singleton on July 31.
In the footage, Mr. Ryan is seen wearing a distinctive Holden HSV Racing jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots. He is described as a Caucasian male of medium build, approximately 170 centimeters tall, with a bald head, green eyes, and a grey goatee beard. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have seen or had contact with him in recent weeks to contact Crime Stoppers.
