The loss leaves Tottenham at the bottom of the league table with zero points and zero goals scored in their first two matches, marking their worst start to a season since 1974. Despite significant summer spending exceeding £300 million, the team has struggled to find form under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Following the match, De Zerbi addressed the team's performance and physical condition, specifically noting that midfielder Sandro Tonali is not yet in peak physical shape. Additionally, reports indicated that players including Richarlison, Pape Matar Sarr, and Kevin Danso have expressed desires to leave the club before the transfer window closes.
