Newcastle United faces defensive crisis after Coventry City defeat

Newcastle United is facing scrutiny following a 4-1 defeat against Coventry City, marking their second 4-1 loss in recent weeks. The team has conceded 13 goals, which is tied for the worst defensive record in the league.

Despite controlling 66.7 percent of possession and recording 19 shots, Newcastle struggled with defensive transitions. Manager Matthias Jaissle apologized to fans after the match. While the loss has raised concerns regarding the team's ability to compete for a top-four position, reports indicate the mood within the club remains calm, with no emergency meetings held among leadership and training continuing as usual ahead of their upcoming match against Aston Villa.
