Newcastle United provides injury update ahead of Aston Villa match

Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle has provided an injury update ahead of the upcoming Premier League match against Aston Villa at St James’ Park.

Bazoumana Touré is considered a doubt for the fixture following an ankle injury sustained during the match against Coventry City. While there is optimism that the injury may not be long-term, his availability remains uncertain. Anthony Elanga and Jacob Ramsey are confirmed to be out, with Elanga expected to undergo a gradual reintegration process into training next week.

Several players have returned to the squad but are not yet at full match fitness. Joelinton, Dan Burn, Amar Dedić, and Will Osula all featured in recent minutes, but Jaissle cautioned that it will take several weeks for them to reach peak physical condition. Tino Livramento is also being managed with caution due to his injury history.
