Newcastle United scouts Polish defender Jakub Krzyzanowski

Newcastle United has intensified its interest in Wisla Krakow left-back Jakub Krzyzanowski. The club recently deployed scouts to monitor the 20-year-old during a match against Rakow Czestochowa to assess his defensive capabilities and attacking contributions.

Krzyzanowski, an academy graduate who has played every league minute this season, is attracting attention from several European clubs. While Augsburg previously submitted an offer that Wisla Krakow rejected, Newcastle is reportedly considering a January move. One potential structure involves a deal that would allow the defender to remain at Wisla until the end of the current season before moving to England.

Competition for the player remains high, with interest previously shown by Sturm Graz and various Czech clubs including Banik Ostrava, Sigma Olomouc, and Hradec Kralove. Wisla Krakow holds a strong negotiating position following a contract extension that keeps the player at the club until June 2030.
