Newcastle United targeting AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori
Newcastle United is reportedly interested in signing AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori as a free agent next summer. The 28-year-old central defender, who holds English international status, is expected to leave the Serie A club when his current contract expires at the end of the season.
Despite having made over 200 appearances for the Rossoneri since joining permanently from Chelsea in 2023, Tomori is reportedly not part of manager Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans. While he was recently recalled to the first-team squad following a long-term injury to Matteo Gabbia, his position at the club remains uncertain.
Newcastle United is currently considered a front-runner for his signature, though other English clubs may present competing contract offers. A move to Tyneside would see the Nigerian-born defender join a lineage of players of Nigerian descent who have represented the club.
