Newcastle United pursues multiple transfer targets amid squad rebuild

Newcastle United is actively restructuring its squad following the departures of key players such as Bruno Guimarães and Sandro Tonali. The club recently faced a setback in its pursuit of Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg; despite Newcastle being prepared to meet Marseille's valuation, the 31-year-old Dane reportedly turned down the proposal, with interest linked to AC Milan.

To address midfield needs, Newcastle is exploring several other options. The club has been linked to Inter Milan players Davide Frattesi and Aleksandar Stankovic, with Frattesi reportedly valued at approximately £26 million. Additionally, interest has been noted in Joao Palhinha, who is currently sought by both Aston Villa and Newcastle, and Omar Marmoush, a Manchester City forward valued between €60m and €65m.

In defensive recruitment, Newcastle has also been linked to a potential move for Toulouse left-back Dayann Methalie, potentially hijacking interest from Sunderland.
