Newcastle United targets goalkeeper Jaouen, backs Woltemade and pledges £30m facility upgrades

Newcastle United continues its recruitment drive, monitoring 20‑year‑old French goalkeeper Ewan Jaouen of Stade de Reims. Jaouen, who kept 15 clean sheets in Ligue 2 this season, has been praised by journalist Julien Collomb as “a very talented player… with the potential to become one of the world’s top‑10 goalkeepers”. The club also confirmed it will retain record signing striker Nick Woltemade for a second season.
