Newcore Gold identifies first probable mineral reserve at Enchi project
Newcore Gold Ltd. has announced that its Enchi Gold Project in southwest Ghana has defined its first probable mineral reserve. This development follows the completion of a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), the economic results of which have been available since June 2026.
The company is currently conducting an 80,000-meter drilling program to test for higher-grade mineralization located beneath and outside of existing mine models. The Enchi project covers 248 square kilometers within the Bibiani Shear Zone, an established gold belt.
The announcement comes amid a favorable market environment, with gold prices reaching approximately $4,450 per ounce on September 9, 2026. This price exceeds the $3,800 per ounce base price used in the company's Pre-Feasibility Study. Additionally, a 2026 World Gold Council survey indicated that 89% of surveyed central banks expected global gold reserves to rise over the following year.
