Newfoundland and Labrador experiences mixed temperatures and fog on August 3
A wide range of temperatures was forecast for Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday, August 3. Central and western parts of the province were expected to be the warmest, with Corner Brook reaching 26 °C, Gander 23 °C, Grand Falls‑Windsor 24 °C and Happy Valley‑Goose Bay 24 °C. Coastal and eastern locations remained cooler, with St. John's at 16 °C, St. Anthony 14 °C and Nain 20 °C.
Fog patches were reported across most of the province, with drizzle in the morning and additional fog developing in the evening. UV indexes ranged from moderate to very high, and wind gusts of up to 80 km/h were forecast for some coastal areas. Rainfall amounts were expected to be light, generally between 2 and 10 mm, with higher totals of 20‑30 mm possible on Tuesday.
