Newfoundland and Labrador issues 122 provincial nomination invitations

Newfoundland and Labrador issued 122 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to foreign nationals for provincial nomination on August 18, 2026. All invitations in this round were issued through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP).

This selection marks the first time in 2026 that the province has issued invitations exclusively through the NLPNP, omitting candidates from the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). In all previous draws this year, both programs were utilized.

Since January 1, 2026, the province has issued a total of 2,197 invitations. Of these, 1,849 were through the NLPNP and 348 were through the AIP, meaning approximately 85% of the year's total invitations have been allocated to the NLPNP. The province's Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism has not disclosed the specific streams or sectors targeted in this latest draw.
