NewJeans member Hanni sued over alleged ADOR visa data leak

A criminal complaint was filed on July 28 with the Seoul Yongsan Police Station by cultural critic Kim Seongsu, accusing ADOR—an agency under HYBE—and several of its executives of violating the Personal Information Protection Act. The complaint alleges that ADOR disclosed NewJeans member Hanni’s E‑6 entertainment visa details, including expiration date and extension status, to the media, framing her as an “illegal resident.”

Hanni, a Vietnamese‑Australian singer, became the subject of media speculation after her visa reportedly expired during a contract dispute with the agency. The complaint cites a February 2025 report that revealed her visa extension documents and claims the leak could damage her reputation and career. South Korean police have not announced whether formal charges will be pursued.
