Newport Folk Festival 2026 Day 2 Highlights The Lumineers and More at Fort Adams

The second day of the sold‑out 2026 Newport Folk Festival at Fort Adams State Park featured The Lumineers closing the Fort Stage, capping an afternoon that built toward several headline performances. Earlier sets included Gillian Welch & David Rawlings with a Grateful Dead acoustic set, Lizzy McAlpine, Punch Brothers, Cat Power and Vulfpeck across the festival’s multiple stages.

Local acts such as the trio Princess June opened the Fort Stage, while emerging artists performed on the Bike Stage, including Madi Diaz and Morgan Nagler. The day concluded with Nathaniel Rateliff & Friends headlining, joined by Brandi Carlile, Father John Misty and Brandon Flowers.

The festival also featured collaborations, with Hayley Williams appearing alongside Deer Tick and other musicians, underscoring the event’s blend of legacy and new talent.
