NEXE d. d. holds meeting on non-hazardous waste disposal

Representatives from NEXE d. d. held a meeting with local community members, government officials, and experts to address concerns regarding the disposal of non-hazardous waste from the PPK Velebit site in Gospić.

During the meeting, NEXE executives Josip Ergović and Stjepan Ergović provided technical information regarding the material, its transport, use, and control procedures. Našice Mayor Krešimir Kašuba stated that the processes are being conducted in accordance with prescribed standards and do not pose a threat to human health or the environment.

To ensure public safety, the City of Našice committed to continuous monitoring and will seek additional independent inspections and measurements. The Mayor noted that previous air quality monitoring in the area showed no significant deviations related to industrial activity, with minor fluctuations typically occurring during heating seasons or due to unauthorized local burning.
