Croatian handball club Nexe is set to begin its EHF Euroleague campaign on Tuesday, September 29, hosting the French side Saint-Raphaël in Našice. The match marks the start of a new European season following structural changes to the EHF competitions, including an expanded Champions League.
Nexe coach Saša Barišić-Jaman noted that while the team has faced challenges with injuries and viral illnesses, he expects a complete squad for the home opener. The team is currently managing absences, including Aco Cenić and Odak, though Krajcar is expected to return from injury. The primary goal for the club is to secure two points in the opening match to aid their progression through the group stage.
