Nexen Tire to supply Rodian GTX tires for Kia Sorento hybrid

Nexen Tire has announced the expansion of its original equipment (OE) supply for the Kia Sorento hybrid model. The company will now provide its Rodian GTX, an all-season tire specifically developed for SUVs, for the 2027 model year facelift.

The supply includes two different sizes: 17-inch tires will be used for vehicles in the domestic Korean and North American markets, while a new 20-inch version of the Rodian GTX will be applied to vehicles sold in the domestic market. The Rodian GTX features a special compound designed to maintain braking performance and ride comfort across varying temperature environments, along with a zigzag pattern to distribute ground pressure and reduce vehicle pulling.

Nexen Tire noted that the product is optimized for the durability and efficiency requirements of hybrid SUVs. The company has previously supplied the Rodian GTX to various models, including the Kia EV5 and EV6, Renault Philante, and Jeep Cherokee.
