NexGen Energy expands high-grade uranium zone in Saskatchewan

NexGen Energy has reported significant expansion of high-grade uranium mineralization at its Patterson Corridor East (PCE) discovery in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Recent drilling results have extended the high-grade zone vertically by 94 metres, increasing its total vertical extent to 644 metres.

Key drilling results include hole RK-26-293, which encountered 4.7 metres of mineralization exceeding 10,000 counts per second (cps), including a 0.1-metre section measuring above 61,000 cps. Another hole, RK-26-290c1, identified multiple stacked uranium veins across 40 metres of the high-grade area, with 19.5 metres measuring above 10,000 cps.

Due to the continuous high-grade results, NexGen is expanding its exploration program by adding a fifth drill rig to the PCE site. The company has completed over 20,000 metres of its planned 42,000-metre program. Simultaneously, NexGen continues construction of its Rook I project at the Arrow deposit, located 3.5 km west of PCE.
