Next Yacht Group acquires Siman to expand metal superyacht production

Next Yacht Group, the owner of the Maiora and AB Yachts brands, has bought 100 % of Italian metal‑fabrication specialist Siman. Siman, founded in 1988 with facilities in La Spezia, Pisa and Massa, supplies mechanical engineering, propulsion systems and refit services for yachts up to 60 m and also works for the Italian Navy. The acquisition, executed through Continental Investment Srl, secures the jobs of Siman’s 70 employees and paves the way for a new division dedicated to metal superyachts. An industrial development plan backed by €20 million – €11 million already spent – will upgrade production capacity, add up to 45 new positions and aim for full profitability by 2027.

The deal is part of a broader strategy to strengthen a fully “Made in Italy” supply chain and to diversify the group’s product range. While Maiora focuses on spacious, habit‑friendly luxury yachts, AB Yachts targets high‑performance vessels such as the AB 95S and the flagship AB 130. In early 2026 the group also signed distribution agreements with YSC Yacht Sales Center in Turkey and Splendid Yachting for the Adriatic and Central Europe, expanding its market reach as demand for high‑end yachts grows faster in southern Europe than in the West.
